CHAMPIONS Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow won the opening Alder Valley Girls League meeting at Reading on Sunday.
They beat the host club by nearly 30 points as the whole team contributed with some fine performances.
In the under-13 girls the outstanding athlete on the day was Josslyn Stottor who broke the club record in the javelin with her 23.89m throw. She then gained maximum points in two other events, the shot putt (8.16m PB) and the discus (15.70m) before she was part of the victorious relay team.
Another talented athlete, Morgan Lake, equalled her high jump club record with 1.50m as well as anchoring the relay team to the win.
Other top displays came from Sasha Hollenbeck who produced two personal bests and Zoe Toudup, Tilly Compton-Stewart, Eloise Milbourne and Kathryn Ditton who also got PBs.
The hammer throw was introduced to the under-15 girls for the first time with second places for Gabriela Zivanovic and Hannah James while Joanne Fallon, Emma Croft, Ellie Wallis, Rosie Adams, Imogen Eddings and Ana Inverary continued the flow of PBs .
In the under-17s, throw specialist, Ellie Norris, achieved a PB in her signature event, launching the discus 27.04m and also produced her best in the hammer.
Another talented thrower, Kathryn Wallace had personal bests in the hammer and shot putt.
Other excellent performances came in the field from Lily Guerin and Letisha Richardson with new winter signings Aimee Partridge and Georgia Lamothe also impressing.
Chloe Mays did the business in the sprints with PBs for middle distance runners Lois Bond, Hannah Widgington, a dominant Bex Myers and Naomi Barbour.
Sprint hurdles double act Charlotte Banks and Sarah Phelps dominated as did Pascale Waterson and Claire Hing in the triple jump. Ana and Maria Gomez scored well in the long jump.
