A GRAND total of three national trophies were won by Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow over one weekend.

In an exceptional end to the season, having already won the Ladies Southern League and the National Young Athletes League, last weekend saw three more major trophies added to the cabinet.

On Saturday the senior Ladies emphatically defended their British Athletics League (BAL) Cup title at the Bedford International Stadium, to retain their UK Champions crown.

Whilst their male counterparts did not feature so highly in their BAL Cup match, the men's team did more than enough to ensure that WSEH were crowned Combined Team Champions as well.

This prestigious cup competition is athletics equivalent of football's FA Cup and the title is keenly sought by all the top clubs in the UK.

But the club will have to make even more room in their trophy cabinet because on Sunday their National Young Athletes League Team lifted the UK National Trophy at the Sport City Stadium in Manchester. The mixed team of over 100 boys and girls stunned the opposition with a victory by what could be the biggest margin in the many years of this National League.
