SLOUGH RFC and Windsor RFC both got off the mark in Southern Counties North with wins over Marlborough and Tadley.

Paul Rendall's team had suffered back-to-back defeats in their opening matches but emerged as 17-8 winners at basement side Marlborough.

Windsor, on the other hand, had a fortnight off after their loss to rivals Beaconsfield and eased to a comfortable 44-8 triumph at Tadley.

Beaconsfield maintained their winning start to the season with a 37-14 victory over previously unbeaten Milton Keynes.

Drifters and Phoenix had mixed weekends in Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier as the former won 44-5 at Chipping Norton and Phoenix were beaten 38-11 at home by Swindon College Old Boys.

Farnham Royal made it three wins from three matches in Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship with a 28-17 win at Faringdon.

In South West One East Division, Maidenhead beat High Wycombe 37-17 to move up to second in the table.
