DANNY Williams' Reading FC career appears to be over with reports suggesting he is undergoing a medical at Premier League newboys Huddersfield Town.
As the Reading Chronicle revealed weeks ago, Terriers boss David Wagner wanted to snap up free-transfer Williams to bolster his midfield.
The 28-year-old has been offered a new contract by the Royals after his old one expired last week.
But he turned the offer down while his former Reading teammates urged him to take his time over making a decision about his future.

Williams joined Reading from German outfit Hoffenheim in summer 2013, signing a four year contract.
The USA international made 135 league appearances, scoring 13 goals, and was outstanding during Reading's Championship play-off campaign last season, which ended in defeat to Huddersfield on penalties in the final.
But the central midfielder's performances clearly caught the eye of Wagner, who is thought to have been chasing Williams all summer.
The midfielder, who was born in Germany, decided to run his contract down and look set to join Huddersfield as they prepare for their first Premier League campaign.
Danny Williams was oustanding for Reading FC in their play-off semi-final victory over Fulham.
Meanwhile, Royals keeper Ali Al-Habsi caused a stir today after he was strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.
The 35-year-old signed a new contract with Reading last season, but reports on social media suggest he has agreed a three-year deal with Al Hilal.
And a tweet put out by Royals' Player of the Season this afternoon has only added to the confusion and kept fans guessing.
