THREE Reading FC Women players have been on England international duty for the very first time.

PFA team of the year goalkeeper Mary Earps, 24, stepped off the bench in Saturday’s 4-0 friendly win over Switzerland when she replaced Karen Bardsley for the last 15 minutes.

Royals team-mate Jade Moore started the match in Biel while Jo Potter came on in the 63rd minute.

Former Reading striker Fran Kirby, now of Chelsea, was on target while Jodie Taylor (2) and Jordan Nobbs grabbed the other goals.

All three are part of Mark Sampson’s squad as they build up for the Euro 2017 Championships later this year.

The squad will meet up again at St George’s Park this Sunday for three weeks of training including another friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen on July 1.

Meanwhile, Reading’s Molly Bartrip helped England Under 23s win the Nordic Tournament in Sweden over the past week.

She started on the bench for the Young Lionesses who defeated Norway 2-0 to claim the trophy thanks to goals from Chelsea’s Hannah Blundell and Arsenal’s Beth Mead.

Bartrip came off the bench for the last eight minutes in Saffle when she replaced Birmingham’s Abbey-Leigh Stringer.

Marieanne Spacey’s England also recorded a 4-0 win over Sweden and 0-0 draw with USA earlier in the tournament.

Reading’s Netherlands captain Mandy van den Berg has also been on duty with her country, while Melissa Fletcher and Charlie Estcourt have been away with Wales.

Royals team-mate Rachel Rowe was forced to pull out through injury, while defender Harriett Scott joined up with the Republic of Ireland squad.
