SINCE our abysmal 3-0 drubbing at Preston we’ve beaten our play-off rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds plus Blackburn Rovers.

Few would have predicted a 100% record from those last three games.

Yann Kermorgant is playing out of his skin. John Swift got the official man-of the-match against Leeds, but Kermorgant was the real star performer.

What he lacks in pace he makes up for in tenacity, teamwork and goal-scoring ability.

The Frenchman holds the ball up well and his two goals against Blackburn were brilliantly-aimed headers into the corner. His finish against Leeds was marksman-like and powerful.

We rely on Kermorgant too much for my liking but there is no denying he is thriving under the pressure.

However, this week’s victories were by no means a one-man show. The entire team impressed against Leeds. The defence was solid and the midfield of Liam Kelly, Danny Williams and John Swift were quick, strong and energetic.

Blackburn did not possess the attacking threat of Leeds so Stam rightly rested a few players ahead of difficult trips to Norwich and Aston Villa.

Thankfully no fresh injuries arose this week which is also a massive boost with only six games to go.

Jordan Obita’s problem turned out to be severe cramp so he’s likely to feature at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Callum Harriott posted on his Instagram that he’s training hard and will be back “very soon.” He could be in contention for the trip to East Anglia.

Paul McShane, on the other hand, will not be fit by the weekend and will not travel.

We’ve won five of the last 10 meetings against Norwich since 2008 including the big 3-1 win at Madejski Stadium on Boxing Day last year.

The Canaries have won three and drawn the remaining two fixtures. The bookies price us around 3/1 to secure our fourth away win of 2017.

I said last week that a win against Leeds would almost guarantee a play-off place.

That is still my view.

Losing to Norwich would not be the end of the world, but a win would be a huge confidence booster and show just how serious we are about promotion.
