SLOUGH Hockey Club Under 12 B-team produced a strong performance in round three of the Chilterns League last Sunday.

An Eddie Salvadori goal put Slough ahead against Amersham U12A, who hit back to win the match 3-1.

Rishi Nanda shepherded in a Zakhir Thasim shot to score the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win against Amersham U12B.

In the final match, Salvadori notched up four goals against a compact Harrow side who managed two in response.

Slough U10s recorded two wins and a draw during a Berkshire-wide tournament at Phoenix & Ranelagh on Sunday.

The youngsters were in great form and a 0-0 draw with Reading was followed up by an excellent 2-0 win against Maidenhead.

Slough stuttered by losing to Newbury but came back strongly to beat Henley 2-0. They lost focus in a 2-1 defeat against the hosts.

The team played well together as Bir Soor drove down the right wing and distributed the ball well with several excellent passes.

Esher Thind was in fine form again, though Safa Nasser was named star performer after an excellent performance in midfield was capped with two goals.

Slough U8s lost only once during a minis hockey tournament at Maidenhead, which included teams from Reading, Sonning and Wokingham.

The squad performed brilliantly with forwards Umar Ilyas and Anna Salvadori supported by some fantastic defence from Chloe Moston.

Salvadori scored an excellent team goal, while Jaya Nanda and Molly Beer kept the defence tight by consistently winning possession.
