EXCELLENT results were produced by Maidenhead Athletics Club members recently.

To the fore was Claire Donald, who produced another of her signature fine runs to take first place in her age category, over-45 at Fryent Country Park, Kingsbury in the North of Thames X/C Championship.

She covered the testing 6,000m course in a time of 28 minutes, securing 12th place overall.

At the Centenary Hastings Marathon there were also some good runs with Andy Macaskill returning to form with a time of 2:57.40 in 19th place.

Managing to match Macaskill for 21 miles was Stuart Mannering, but the hilly course and windy conditions took their toll, although he still managed 3:14.18. Carolyn Lockett was comfortably in under four hours (3:50.30), while Simon Emsley ran a very respectable 4:15.05.
