AN EXCELLENT display from the Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow young athletes helped the club to fourth place in the opening Division One Apex Sports Chiltern Cross Country League Series at Watford on Saturday.

The top turnout from the youngsters made up for a low number of senior WSEH members in the 14 club match that was won by Bedford & County AC.

The best WSEH team performance came in the under-13 Boys events where they emerged as victors thanks to Kieran Wye, Jack Rowe, Henry Suggitt and George Gathercole.

The top WSEH individual performance was from Keegan Lymn, making his cross country debut for the club, and he was second in the under-15 Boys race.

The best female run came from Beccy Croft who was third in the under-13 Girls race and along with Abbie Schmid, Ellie Wallis and Eloise Milbourn helped them to first place in the age group.

Other fine team performances came from the under-20/under-17 ladies who were third thanks to some top runs from Bex Myers, Rachel Stedman, Hannah Barefield and Sarah Spears.

The under-15 boys, led by Lymn, were second with James Bennington, James Tidd and Alex Goodall completing the team.
