AFTER playing just one game in more than a month Ascot United are facing another 10-day lay-off, but it is not because of the weather this time.
The vagaries of the Hellenic Premier Division fixture list mean that the Yellamen have this Saturday off as a free weekend.
This means that while most teams will be looking to get back into the swing of things and back to full match fitness, Stuart Scammell's side will once again be sat around twiddling their thumbs.
Before Tuesday United were the only side in all three divisions of the Hellenic League to successfully host a game this year.
However, they have still been badly hit by the snow, with five fixtures being postponed.
United were set to play their second game of the year on Wednesday evening at the Racecourse Ground.
However the home match against Ardely United was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
