PAUL Coyne is making the switch to Burnham to be part of Jamie Jarvis" revolution and push for the top of the Southern League Division 1 Midlands.

The midfield maestro, who left Watford as a third year scholar to join Windsor & Eton where he has spent the majority of his time at Stag Meadow, but now wants to make a go of it at his home town club.

The 23-year-old said: 'To be honest, it"s for a bit of a change. I"ve been at Windsor since I left Watford five seasons ago, apart from a brief stint at Marlow.

'I"m friends with Jamie Jarvis and Simon Delahunty so am looking forward to working with them.

'I"m excited by things that are going on there, a few new signings and a new pitch and Jamie did a really good job at Beaconsfield.

'Hopefully they will be pushing up there near the top, I don"t think there"s any point aiming for anythign less than the top.'

Coyne, who made 127 appearances for the Royalists, scoring nine goals, turned down the chance to go to Maidenhead United in the Conference South in favour of The Gore.

'I was speaking to Drax (manager Johnson Hippolyte) and got offered a sum of money for me to go there but I wanted to go to Burnham,' confirmed Coyne.

'It"s my home town club, I"ve grown up there all my life and I"m just round the corner so I want to give it a go at Burnham.

'It"s nothing to do with Windsor, they"ve been quality for me and I enjoyed my time there, I just fancied a change. I might go back there, you never know.'
