TALENTED junior footballer Hannah Pearson won the Young Player of the Year award for Slough Ladies.

'She has only been playing football for three seasons now and she has achieved a lot in that time,' said a proud father, Steve Pearson.

In 2006 she started with QPR Girls and in her first season she won league and cup winners medals, in her second campaign she got a cup runners-up medal but then unfortunately the team disbanded as many players went onto other top teams.

However Hannah joined Slough Ladies Football Club on her 16th birthday and went straight into the reserves before forcing her way into the first team in January and continued to play in some of the reserve matches, also the reserves became champions of the Thames Valley Division 2.

In the last 12 months Hannah was called up for the Berks & Bucks schools county under-16 team, she was also called up for the Berks & Bucks ladies football team in 2009 and in September, she will be joining the Buckinghamshire women"s football academy in Milton Keynes to further her career in sport.
