Bracknell manager Kerthney Carty will start his Robins revolution when pre-season training gets underway this week.

BRACKNELL Town boss Kerthney Carty is expecting a big turnout when pre-season training starts tonight (Thursday).

The Robins chief, who is preparing for his first campaign in charge at Larges Lane, says he has been inundated with requests from players looking to join the club.

Some of last season"s team are also keen to return and Carty is hopeful he will have a very strong squad at his disposal by the time the Southern League season kicks off in August.

He said: 'It"s good that things are now getting started. We"ve spoken to a lot of people who have said they"re very keen to play for us.

'A lot of players have phoned me and expressed an interest in joining, it all depends on how many actually turn up at training.'

Training begins at 7pm tonight at Birch Hill Recreation Ground, Ringmead, and will also take place on Saturday and Tuesday.

Carty has started things off a week earlier than normal so he has longer to cast his eye over potential new recruits.

He said: 'It will be a new squad so I"m coming back a week earlier than normal.

'We"ve got a month until the pre-season friendlies start and we want to be in a good position by then.

'Those games will give me a chance to look at the players and the ones that don"t come up to scratch, I will move them on.'

Carty has revealed he also hopes to finalise his coaching staff by the end of this week with the appointment of a reserve team manager.

He added: 'I"ve got two people in mind. I will talk to both of them and hopefully it will be done by the end of this week.'

* Trials for the Bracknell Town Allied Counties Youth team take place this Saturday at Birch Hill Recreation Ground.

Players must be under 18 on September 1, 2009 and have reached the age of 16 by August 31, 2010. The trials begin at 10.30am and last until 1pm.
