AN 87th-minute winner from Lewis Way gave Berks County their first Premier Division victory of the season with a 2-1 success at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.

Berks County previously lost 3-2 at Woodley United Royals last Wednesday despite goals from Ben Fox and Alex Hills. Liam Wilson, Toby Briggs and an own goal turned things round for Woodley.

Woodcote Stoke Row are top following their 5-2 success at Woodley United Royals on Saturday. Frank Dillon grabbed a brace with the other WSR goals coming from Michael Davies, Jake Dillon and Negus Williams-McCabe, Sam Guze replying with a double.

That win followed a 4-2 victory for Woodcote Stoke Row at home to Wright & Unity Sports last Wednesday.

Adam Cashin-Murray scored twice, with Andy Bullett and Davies also on target, before James Griffiths and Prince Massaquoi grabbed late consolations.

Matt Drake and Ashley Searle helped second-placed Reading YMCA make it four wins from four with a 2-1 home win against Highmoor Ibis United, Courtney Lawrence netting for the visitors.

Ibis were also smashed 5-0 by Marlow United thanks to an own goal and strikes from Surdariu Catalin, Ollie Flint, Qwamani Thomas and James Hardie.

Catalin also scored last Wednesday, but his side were shocked 4-1 by Cookham Dean thanks to goals from Kai Murphy-Douglas, Dan Adams, Lee Hawkins and Brian Murphy.

However, Cookham then lost their perfect record with a 3-0 reverse at Wright & Unity Sports, Monay Mills-Chandler, Massaquoi and Ali Amara on target.

Rock bottom Taplow United were thumped 6-0 by Wraysbury Village – a George Dewhurst hat-trick, Mike Wilson double and Sam Sillah strike doing the damage – before losing 3-1 at home to Mortimer.

Casey Warwick scored twice for the visitors, with Taylor Mitchinson getting the other. Jordan Jawandha bagged the consolation.

Wilson and Dewhurst both scored twice as Wraysbury eased past Newbury 4-1, Gary Dredge netting for the visitors.

Thomas Gooding and Michael Hancock goals helped Mortimer beat Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves 2-1, for whom Charlie Scope scored, while a Jason badger double and goals from Matthew Badger and Alex Sergent fired Westwood United to a 4-1 win at Newbury.
