Ascot United crashed out of the FA Cup, going down 4-1 to Hamworthy United in their preliminary round tie, writes Dave Wright.
After Ross Seldon had gone close, the Yellamen fell behind in the 18th minute when Nathan Walker scored from a free-kick.
The hosts increased their lead through a Billy Walker header on 33 minutes.
Shortly after the interval James Goodey brought Ascot back in the game with a well-taken goal, only to concede a third goal to Mark Ford.
Ascot struggled to deal with dead-ball situations and another free-kick led to Walker scoring again four minutes from time.
The Yellamen finished the game with 10 men after Jonny Denton had been shown a second yellow card.
Manager Neil Richards admitted it was a “tough result to take”, but remains confident his side will become stronger as the season progresses. Ascot host Wantage on Saturday then visit Windsor on Monday (both 3pm).
Wokingham & Emmbrook maintained their excellent start to the season with a 5-0 win at Milton in Hellenic League Division 1 East.
Ben Knight netted a hat-trick with Luke Scope and Sam Lawrence-Whiting adding the others for the Sumas, who led 3-0 at half-time.
This Saturday they go to Bicester (3pm), another side who have won both of their opening games.
In the same division, Sandhurst put their first points on the board with a 4-0 victory at Henley Town. Myles White scored in the 25th and 71st minutes with Kylo Atkinson also bagging a brace, netting on 30 and 86 minutes.
The Fizzers squandered several other chances, including a 56th-minute penalty by Harry Oakley.
Sandhurst have two home games over the Bank Holiday, entertaining Holyport on Saturday and Wallingford Town 48 hours later (both 3pm).
Eversley & California followed up their 4-1 win at Ash last Tuesday with a 5-1 victory away to Bedfont & Feltham on Saturday. Adam Aimable scored two goals in both games.
The Boars host Rayners Park Vale on Saturday before visiting Cove on Monday (11.30am).
