HARRY Swabey and Kylo Atkinson both hit hat-tricks as Finchampstead hammered Holyport-60 6-0 in their Hellenic League Division One East clash at Memorial Park.

Chace Jewell hit the cross-bar early on for the hosts and Danny Blatchford also went close with a header, but Finch did open the scoring on 25 minutes when Atkinson netted.

Swabey doubled the advantage just a minute later and as Finchampstead took control, Atkinson nearly scored another before the break.

The home side did move 3-0 up early in the second half, Atkinson rounding the goalkeeper before tucking away the chance on 50 minutes.

Swabey added the fourth seven minutes later and things could have got worse for Holyport, only for Freddie Barron’s lob to go just over the crossbar.

Swabey completed his hat-trick with a 72nd-minute penalty, and Atkinson also sealed his treble from the spot late on as Finch enjoyed a comfortable afternoon.

The victory lifts Finchampstead up to second in the table, although they have played more games than the other teams around them.

Jon Laugharne’s men do not have a game this weekend, returning to action at Shrivenham in the Supplementary Cup next Wednesday.
