SANDHURST Town slumped to a 4-1 home defeat in their Hellenic League Division One East game against second-placed Headington Amateurs, writes Richard Ashton.

Carl Bloomfield gave the visitors a 19th-minute lead, and they swiftly doubled their advantage when Ben Green found the net.

Sean Delfosse cut the gap for the Fizzers on the half-hour mark, and they went into the break 2-1 down.

However, Paul Alder pushed the Oxfordshire side further in front midway through the second half, and Green added a second three minutes from time to seal the victory.

Ninth-placed Sandhurst Town travel to Rayners Lane this coming Saturday (3pm).
