WINDSOR skipper Wes Nichols heaped praise on his bowling attack and the prodigiously talented spinner Ben Harris after his seven wicket haul.

The 18-year-old off-spinner claimed 7-32 as Finchampstead"s second XI were knocked over for a meagre 45 in Thames Valley League Division 2a but it is not a surprise to see Windsor"s opposition rolled over for a paltry score.

Since the opening day defeat, the Home Park outfit have won seven on the bounce, skittling opponents out for 98, 89, 115, 82, 136 and 116 prior to Saturday"s result as they sit 29 points clear of Basingstoke & North Hants" second XI.

'I give our bowlers this year 10 out of 10,' Nichols said.

'It makes my job a lot easier when I"ve got six guys who can turn up and take five for. It was Benny Harris" turn this week.'

Nichols stated: 'He"s the best 18-year-old off-spinner I"ve seen and I"ve played some pretty high level cricket in Australia.

'I don"t know too much about Home Counties cricket but I would say he"s the best off-spinner in Berkshire. He"s so raw and got a lot to learn about the game but got so much talent. If he can knock over guys like Gary Loveday with ease at 18, I dread to think what he can do in 10 years time.'
