THE icing on the cake for Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow in their National Young Athletes Premier Division meeting was a new league record in the girls under-17 4x300m relay.

WSEH won to remain on top and the relay team of Laura Burke, Georgia Taylor, Leah Barrow and Georgie Lamothe scorched around the track to beat the old league record by a massive three seconds with a time of 2 minutes 43.1 seconds.

Another record breaker for the girls was Becca Croft in the under-13 1,200 who beat the previous best for the club by 2.6 seconds to romp to victory in 3.49.9.

THE WSEH sprinters dominated in the under-17s as Georgia Lamothe and Leah Barrow (a PB of 25.5) did the double in the 200m, Laura Burke (40.7) and Emily Barrett (42.1) both produced their best to win in the 300m and the clean sweep of victories was completed by Lamothe and Shalisha Patrick (a PB of 12.6) in the 100m.

Another area of dominance came in the throws where Ellie Norris and Jenny Yoxall - in a PB of 22.20m - notched maximum points. Norris also partnered Kathryn Wallace in the hammer, earlier in the day, when she threw a PB of 29.97m. Yoxall then partnered Tara Barrett, both placing second in the shot.

Other notable performances came in the 300m hurdles where Georgia Taylor (47.0) and Aimee Partridge (49.1) produced personal bests in finishign runners-up.

Valuable middle distance points were claimed by Hannah Widgington, Verity Kyley and Naomi Barbour.

Multi-eventer Letisha Richardson, showed her worth to the team, by covering three events, the high jump - which suffered as a result - the 80m hurdles, supported by Charlotte Banks, and long jump which she won in 4.54m.

Further points where achieved by Claire Hing (long an triple jump), Sarah Phelps and Sarah Taplin (javelin), Hannah Kirby (triple jump), Emma English (high jump), Sarah Spears (1,500m) and Alyssa Spitzer (3,000m). Lily Guerin rounded off her day with a clearance of 2.20m in the pole vault, placing first.

As the season progresses, the under-15s have grown stronger. Olivia Caesar was dominant in the sprints, recording 13.1 in the 100m and 26.8 for the 200m. She then stepped in to cover the shot in a PB of 5.41m, when training partner Steph Clitheroe suffered an injury competing in the 100m. Fellow sprinter, Cressida Millar, achieved a best of 26.8 in the 200m finishing a creditable second.

New signing, Eleanor Duck (12.1), along with multi-eventer Demi Barrance (12.7), acquitted themselves admirably by securing top spots and PBs in the 75m hurdles. Barrance also featured in the long jump, achieving another PB of 4.63m. Harriet Walters, covering the other Long Jump spot, claimed a first.

Further new signings of Emma Ford and Sophie Jenkins showed what they might be capable of in future competitions, both clearing 1.50m in the high jump and maximum points.

In the middle distance events, Joanne Fallon (2.28.6) and Christina Hall (2.31.7) showed improvement in the 800m. The 1,500m saw second places for Ruth Bourne and Emma Croft (5.20.5).

Supporting record breaker Becca Croft in the under-13 1,200m, Emily Hancock also ran a PB in 4.22.7. Morgan Lake continued to record PBs in the 150m (20.1) and 70m hurdles (11.5), completing the day with the Long Jump (5.04m).

Aleksia Zivanovic impressed in her debut 800m recording 2.42.4. Ellie Boatman ran a solid 75m sprint with 11.3, but landed awkwardly coming off a hurdle, being team spirited, she continued and completed the race in 13.6 and won.

In the shot, two more first places were achieved with Alejandra Gomez and Josslyn Stotter. Stotter also competed the 75m in 11.2. The high jump saw Sasha Hollenbeck (1.25m) and Hope White (1.25m) score valuable points.
