THE icing on the cake for Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow in their National Young Athletes Premier Division meeting was a new league record in the girls under-17 4x300m relay.

WSEH won to remain on top and the relay team of Laura Burke, Georgia Taylor, Leah Barrow and Georgie Lamothe scorched around the track to beat the old league record by a massive three seconds with a time of 2 minutes 43.1 seconds.

Another record breaker for the girls was Becca Croft in the under-13 1,200 who beat the previous best for the club by 2.6 seconds to romp to victory in 3.49.9.

THE WSEH sprinters dominated in the under-17s as Georgia Lamothe and Leah Barrow (a PB of 25.5) did the double in the 200m, Laura Burke (40.7) and Emily Barrett (42.1) both produced their best to win in the 300m and the clean sweep of victories was completed by Lamothe and Shalisha Patrick (a PB of 12.6) in the 100m.

Another area of dominance came in the throws where Ellie Norris and Jenny Yoxall - in a PB of 22.20m - notched maximum points. Norris also partnered Kathryn Wallace in the hammer, earlier in the day, when she threw a PB of 29.97m. Yoxall then partnered Tara Barrett, both placing second in the shot.

Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow's youn athletes continue to impress.
