A NEW-LOOK Real Milan got the new season under way with a 3-0 win against AFC Crowthorne in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup.

Milan went into the campaign with confidence under the new management of George Torpey despite a summer of transition.

The club has lost some players and brought in others, plus had issues with securing a home ground and clearing fines.

Milan did not have much of a pre-season but started the match brightly as the returning Kane Jones scored directly from a free-kick.

The hosts doubled their advantage after the break as Kyle Lucas fired home from the edge of the box following great work from Arron Fergus.

Jones was unfortunate not to bag himself a second goal moments later when his shot came back off the crossbar.

Cheyenne Cripps has returned to Real Milan after an 11-month absence and got his welcome back goal after good work from substitute Conrad Joseph. He put the ball through to Cripps to slot in past the keeper.

Milan could have added further goals as Joseph came close to finishing a great team move, but was denied by the crossbar.

Real Milan travel to Farnham Park to take on Pobbers in their first match in Division One on Sunday (10.30am).

Singh Sabha Sunday won their opening match of the season when comfortably beating Athletico Forest 6-2 in the Intermediate Cup.

The home side raced into a three-goal lead thanks to Hasan Mahmood, Hardeep Soor and Luckyjit Singh on his debut.

Forest hit back with two goals to put Singh Sabha in a nervous position, but substitute Andrei Tonca wrapped up the game with a fine finish, before further goals from Jovan Bains and Mubarak Bashir.
