LANGLEY Hornets and George Green Juniors have collaborated to form new Langley Green football development squads.

The coalition is to provide a platform for under-16 and under-18 players to enjoy football in the local area.

It has become noticeable that this is the age when players find that their existing teams stop providing a platform for them to play. Players then lose interest in football and turn to other ways of keeping entertained.

The idea is to set up this new platform between the two clubs and share existing facilities to help keep the cost down for players and parents.

There will also be higher player numbers per squad and fantastic coaching can be offered across the age groups.

Langley Green will have teams in the East Berkshire Football League on a Saturday plus the South Bucks Minor League and Youth League on a Sunday.

Trials for the new Langley Green U18 squads will take place at the Everham Centre in Iver Heath between 5.30-7.30pm on Thursday, July 12. Players of all abilities are welcome to the session.

If you would like to attend please contact rob@theparisacademy.co.uk or david.beech@mail.com Langley Green are also looking for any volunteer coaches who would be interested in managing one of the teams on a Saturday or Sunday.
