Farhan Khan’s 5-28 inspired Braywood to a 93-run win at Ruislip Victoria in the Berkshire, Mid Bucks and Chilterns League Championship.

Braywood lost Kamran Ahmed cheaply, but they rebuilt well with Mohammed Waheed (40), Khan (44) and skipper Asim Raza (35) all among the runs in the top four.

A middle-order collapse looked like it could cost the visitors, but Anas Dad hammered five sixes in his rapid 46 from No. 9, and seventh-placed Braywood were bowled out for 214 in 43 overs.

Dawood Iqbal was the pick of the Ruislip attack with 5-37.

Ruislip’s reply started badly as key man Kashif Maan was bowled by Waheed with the score 1-1, although Paul Bailey and Surinder Singh added 41 for the second wicket.

However, Khan roared through the middle order as the Victorians crashed from 42-1 to 72-8, and it was only some spritely late resistance from Zahid Siddique and Iqbal which helped them reach 121.

Chilterns League

In the Premiership, Pinkneys Green crushed basement boys Holyport to move away from the bottom two.

Kashif Rasib top scored with 30 as the cellar-dwellers were knocked over for 123, Chandu Bandla the pick of the Pinkneys’ attack with 5-15 from his nine overs.

The home side were never in trouble in the run chase, with Simon Dudderidge helping himself to an unbeaten 68 as they eased past the target in 22.5 overs.

Fourth-placed Hurley had to settle for a draw with Littlewick Green.

Henry Graham (48) and Phil Ridgeway (44) helped the visitors overcome a poor start to post 191-9, but despite the best efforts of Jonathan Langlands (4-28) and Graham (3-35), Littlewick held on at 164-9.

In Division One, Braywood 2nds (192-9) dominated their draw with Coleshill (141-8).
