REMI Allen collected a hat-trick of awards at the Reading FC Women presentation evening.

The 27-year-old midfielder was named the Women Super League 1 club’s Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year after an excellent season for Kelly Chambers’ Royals.

Allen started every game for Reading last season and netted nine goals including a spectacular overhead kick against Manchester City.

That stunning strike is now among the nominations for the FA Women’s Goal of the Season along with Royals’ team-mate Fara Williams, who scored an incredible goal from the halfway line in a victory against Arsenal Women in November.

Meanwhile, Royals have confirmed Harriet Scott, Melissa Fletcher and Kirsty Linnett will be leaving the club this summer when their contracts expire.

Defender Scott, 24, joined the club’s Centre of Excellence at the age of 10 and rose through the youth ranks to the senior team, making 23 league appearances.

She helped Royals win the WSL 2 title to earn promotion to the top flight and was recently named the Football Association of Ireland’s Women’s International Player of the Year.

Fletcher, 26, joined Reading as an eight-year-old, and initially juggled a career as a chartered accountant before turning professional.

The Wales international striker made 21 appearances for Royals, scoring five goals.

Linnett, 24, scored once in 20 outings for Royals and scored three times last season to help Chambers’ team clinch fourth place in WSL 1.
