PREMIER Division leaders Crowthorne Inn were held to a 1-1 draw at third-place FC Meta.

The result means Meta stay eight points behind but with two games in hand on Crows.

The game between FC Fernhill and Finchampstead FC was abandoned due to a serious injury to a Finch player who required hospital treatment. Finch were leading 2-1 at the time.

The league sends its good wishes and a speedy recovery to the player concerned.

Morale Madrid jumped a couple of places after a 3-2 win at 10-man Golden Farmer – but they were given a real scare.

Lloyd Twyman and Robbie Ellis gave Madrid a two-goal cushion against a depleted Farmer struggling with absences and injuries.

But Brian Murphy halved the deficit before the interval and then curled a sublime free-kick into the top-corner early in the second half to bring Farmer level.

Both sides had chances to go in front, but with the game already in stoppage time, Rob Ellis squeezed the ball back into a crowded goalmouth and Jay Day slid in for Madrid’s winner.

Farmer almost salvaged a point from the restart as Josh Flynn headed home the rebound after Nick Matthews’ effort hit the bar, but the offside flag was raised.

The top two went head-to-head in Division One as Luc Dwelly’s goal saw leaders WAB come out on top with a 1-0 victory over Loveman United.

Third-placed AFC Crowthorne drew 2-2 with basement boys Sandhurst FFC, Jason Ellary with both Crows goals. Ashridge Park lost 3-1 at Hurricanes.

Finchampstead Reserves put seven past Berkshire All Stars without reply. Matt Jones (2) Dan Marles, Conrad Louth, Ollie Armstrong-Wood, Kwame Appiah and man-of-the-match Doug Scholes grabbed the goals.

Warfield United could have gone back to the top of Division Two with a victory, but could only draw 2-2 at AFC Crowthorne Reserves. Jack Wheeler and Joe Henry scoring for Crows.

Man-of-the-match Matt Lindstrom netted four times as Bracknell Athletic won 7-2 at home to Braybrooke Athletic. Sam Andrews, Tym Habran and Chris Jeffries also scored.

Newbold College beat Ashridge Park Royals 7-4.

In Division Three, Bracknell Corinthians hammered Berkshire United 13-1 but remain second as leaders Woodley Saints won 5-1 at WAB Reserves to maintain their two-point lead. Jamie Burnett hit a hat-trick for Saints while Cameron Scott and Simon Johnson were also on target. Will Kennedy replied for WAB.

Winnersh Rangers moved up to fourth as goals from Ben Murray and Dan Ellis secured a 2-1 derby win at Winnersh Town, while Silver Birch won 3-1 at home to Bracknell Falcons with player-manager Adam Spiers, Alex Dinnadge and Lee Nevard on target.

Division Four leaders Silver Birch A were held 2-2 at Finchampstead Sunday A in a top-of-the-table clash, Jake Edwards with both Finch goals.

Bracknell Royals remain third after a 2-2 draw at FC Harmanswater, Simon Howkins and Matt Cory scoring for the hosts.

Bottom side Bracknell Titans are rallying and won 6-2 at Crownwood Dukes to go level on points with Whitegrove Pythons, who lost 3-2 at Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves. Josh Dalton and Robert Gray scored for Pythons.

In the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup TMW Wokingham & Emmbrook face a quarter-final trip to Aylesbury thanks to a 1-0 win against Twigg Vets. FC Fernhill are already through to the quarters where they will go to Eagle Athletic.

All games are scheduled for February 4.
