SLOUGH Town star Warren Harris has labelled the FA Cup victory over Folkestone Invicta as a massive win for the club.

Harris, 26, scored the only goal of the game as The Rebels beat Folkestone 1-0 at Arbour Park on Saturday.

Slough have now pocketed £27,000 from the prize fund and have reached the first round proper for the first time since 2012.

Their reward is an away tie at Gainsborough Trinity, currently second from bottom in National League North, this November.

The Rebels midfielder told the Observer: “It was a good performance and to win is massive. We were not at our best but at the end of the day we got the win and are in the first round.

“It was nice to get a goal early doors but we done well as a team.

“I went through one-on-one and just smashed it to be honest. I didn’t really place the ball, just hit it as hard as I could and luckily it went in.

“I just want to score as many goals as I can. I’ve not set myself any targets but hopefully I will score a few more.”

Left-back George Wells was named the man-of-the-match after another impressive performance, and added: “It was more of a scrappy game. They had a big centre forward and just lumped it forward.

“Warren took his goal well and to be fair we just tried the see the game out after. We had most of the possession in the second half.

“It was not the best of games but all that matters is that we were in the hat for the next round.

“We take every game as it comes. We will just keep on going, keep on winning, and see where we are at the end of the season.”
