THERE was a fantastic turnout for the annual Captain’s Weekend of competitions at Calcot Park.

Friday saw competitions for the juniors and the five-day members and it was Taylor Curtis who won the former with a very creditable score of 45 stableford points.

Melan Dhaubhadel was runner up with 38 points.

John Tagg won the five-day competition with 32 points with Barry Tinson as runner-up with 30.

Saturday was the individual stableford and resulted in 14 handicapper, Liam O’Donnell, winning with 38 stableford points on countback from Lee Williams.

The Sunday team event was won by the vice-captain Chris Shackell’s team with help from Simon White, Nick Burton and Paul Freeman. They amassed 116 stableford points.

Runners-up were Harry and Simon Powell, Mark Guest and Dave Hubble with 114 points.

Trophies were presented to the winners by the club captain, Barry Sharp.
