WOKINGHAM eased past Bracknell 95-55 in their Kennet League Division One East clash, winning three of the four rinks.

In Division Two East, Wokingham B edged out Suttons B 80-79, winning three of the four rinks with the most successful skipped by Bob Hales-Owen along with Jim Rudd, David Fielding and Alex Thomson (28-20).

However, they were also well beaten 106-43 at Windsor & Eton, losing on all four rinks.

Wokingham C were defeated 96-55 at home to Woodley in Division Three East. Their one winning rink was skipped by Alan Taylor along with Paul Graham, Claude Linnell and Alan Jeynes (22-16).

In Division One Central of the Kennet LV League, Wokingham lost 54-46 to Three Mile Cross, losing all three rinks.

Wokingham B proved too strong for their C team club rivals in Division Two Central, coming out 61-33 victors. There was, however, a very good win for the C team triple skipped by John Buttigieg along with Malcolm Woolgar and Brian Chinneck (16-13).

Wokingham D finished their season in Division Three Central losing to Great Hollands 65-22. For the victors, Bob Rhodes, Ray Brawn and Stan Nicholson had the best winning triple (25-6). Edwin Readings, Gareth Jenkins and Peter Hurrell won 21-7 and Graham Cripps, Derek Tickner and Dick Fisher won 19-9.

Wokingham Acorns won 66-40 at Maiden Erlegh in Division One of the Thames Valley Ladies League. The top triple was skipped by Shirley Dutton along with Elaine Herbert and Teresa O’Connor (30-10).

Wokingham Oakapples had two matches in Division Three, overcoming Desborough Buttercups 45-14 and Tilehurst Gold 37-25.

  • GREAT Hollands Linnets lost 58-53 (9-2 on points) in the Thames Valley Ladies League. Sheila Lee skipped the only winning rink (16-15).

The Wrens won only one of the rinks against Sunningdale, but ran out 52-46 winners for a 6-4 points win.

Carolyn Lofthouse, Myrtle McMoneagle and Margaret Worsfold won 25-9.

In the Kennet League, Great Hollands secured a 78-68 win against Twyford for a 10-4 points victory.

Great Hollands A team beat Maidenhead Town B 54-46 (8-2) in the Kennet LV League, but the B team lost 64-41 (9-1) to Maidenhead Thicket A. The D team lost 56-54 (8-2) to Suttons C. Bill Heffill, Robert Dearman and David Harnden had the only winning triple (19-15).

  • IN the Kennet League, Sunningdale squeezed past Desborough B 80-79 (10-4), and in the Kennet LV League, the club beat Wraysbury 57-47.
