TIM Shaughnessy was victorious as Reading GC held their club championships recently.

Played across two rounds, he shot rounds of 74 and 72 for a gross 146, two over par.

Four shots back in second place was Jon Carter (77 and 73), while Ian Traynor (78 and 78) came third with a combined score of 156.

The Ladies’ championship was won by Pat Bennett, who shot 80 and 79 for a total of 159.

She prevailed by three shots from Tracy Crew (79 and 83), who in turn was five clear of Cathy Jones (83 and 84).

The Seniors’ championship was played over 18 holes, with Bert Neo’s (18hcp) gross 86 enough to allow him to shoot a nett four-under-par 68 for victory by two shots.

Sandy Brown (12hcp) edged the runner-up slot on count-back from Ron Nappin (24hcp), the pair both recording nett 70s.
