SOUTH African star Andrew Niblett impressed with bat and ball as Eversley secured a draw in their Division 2a game at home to Chesham 2nds, writes Richard Ashton.

Niblett took 3-34 from 10 overs after the Boars chose to field, and with Matt Salter collecting 2-35, Chesham were bowled out for 197 with Brendan O’Donovan (81) top scoring.

Opener Jack Ford (35) and Niblett (37) led the way with the bat, but they lacked support and Chris Last’s men eventually had to hang on at 133-8. Eversley host table-topping Windsor this coming Saturday (1pm).

In Division 2b, Hurst cruised to a five-wicket success at home to Thatcham Town.

Usman Ijaz (5-52) starred as Hurst dismissed their opponents for 197, and Alex Kayser (74no) and Floyd Na Nagara (54no) had no trouble knocking them off.

Hurst visit Sonning on Saturday (1pm).

Royal Ascot (137) were thumped by seven wickets by High Wycombe 2nds (141-3). They visit Slough 2nds on Saturday (1pm).

Wokingham 2nds (192-4) beat Purley on Thames (188) by six wickets in Division 3a.

Matt Martin scored 68, but it was not enough for Eversley 2nds (231) as they lost by seven wickets to Bagshot 2nds (234-3) in Division 4a, while Royal Ascot 2nds (109) were crushed by seven wickets against Reading 2nds (112-3).

Bracknell (210) climbed out of the Division 5b relegation zone with an emphatic 107 run victory against Henley 3rds (103).

They host Falkland 3rds on Saturday (1pm).

Ed Fox-Smith top scored with 61 as Wokingham 3rds (174) beat Boyne Hill 2nds (164) by 10 runs.

In Division 6b, Royal Ascot 3rds (136) lost by eight wickets to Sonning 2nds, and Hurst 2nds (148) were beaten by the same margin against Yateley 3rds (149-2).

Alex Henly made 90 for Bracknell 2nds (192), but they were edged out by 11 runs at home to Eversley 3rds in Division 7a. Bill Burnett scored 51 for the Boars.

Wokingham 4ths (106) lost by seven wickets at North Maidenhead 4ths (110-3), and Royal Ascot 4ths (248-5) defeated Datchet 4ths (221) by 27 runs in Division 8a.

Eversley 4ths conceded their game against Wokingham 5ths in Division 9a.
