CROWTHORNE & Crown Wood slipped to a disappointing six-wicket Premier Division defeat at home to Woodcote, writes Richard Ashton.

Muhammed Shakeel Arshad continued his good form by striking a run a ball 65, but James Worsfold’s off spin turned the game round and helped dismiss the hosts for 153.

Woodcote were made to work hard for their runs, but useful knocks from Ryan Lennard (48) and Stefan Gordon (40) saw them home.

Leaders Sulhamstead returned to winning ways with a 129-run trouncing of Sandhurst.

Captain Aaron Briggs top scored with 44 in Sully’s total of 204, Luke Mills (5-47) the pick of the attack.

The Camels’ reply was a disastrous affair, Doug Macdonald (6-18) on fire as only James Birch (40) made double figures.

Berkshire County Sports climbed to second with a stunning 170-run triumph against West Reading.

Waqas Ashraf (89) and Usman Asif (60) led the way as BCS racked up an imposing 300-9, Adeel Razaq taking 4-42.

Rahim Khan made 49 in reply, but with Saqib Hussain taking 3-27, the defending champions were skittled for just 130.

Peppard Stoke Row secured a 38-run success at Ruislip Victoria.

Openers Andy Watts (40) and Fergus Nutt (74) gave PSR a good platform, but leg spinner Anand Prabu (5-41) ensured they could only reach 237-7.

However, Dan Hayden (6-70) and Under 16 Will Atkinson (3-31) turned things round for the visitors, who bowled Ruislip out for 199. Vijay Srinivasan made 54 for the home side.

Welford Park moved out of the relegation zone with a 32-run victory at Woodley.

Ian Herrington (49) and Michael Goldsworthy (48) took Welford to 218 as Abdul Khaliq took 5-60.

Zain Raja top scored with 58 in Woodley’s reply, but Will Herrington (3-19) and Stephen Yahia (3-22) combined to help Park pick up a first win of the season.

Division One leaders Emmbrook & Bearwood eased to a seven-wicket triumph at Peppard Stoke Row 2nds.

Dom Hall top scored with 62 as the hosts were bowled out for an under-par 166, Callum Marshall claiming 4-27.

That total never looked like being enough, and Andy Webb (96no) fired the Bears to victory.

Superb innings from Dave Drury (83no from 63 balls) and Will McKay (80 from 67) helped Ibis Mapledurham (195-3) crush Bradfield (192-6) by seven wickets. Jonathan Stebbings made 59 for the visitors.

All-rounder Andy Johnson (43 and 5-13) starred with bat and ball as Mortimer West End (151) beat Sulhamstead 2nds (126) by 25 runs.

Rama Adigantla took 4-33 as Checkendon (147-5) overcame Farley Hill (145) by five wickets, Ujwal Tickoo scoring 73 for Checks.

George Taylor smashed 91 from just 72 balls as Goring on Thames (234-7) downed West Reading 2nds (219) by 15 runs. Waseem Ameen blasted 59 from 35 deliveries for Wests, but Pete Slade (4-40) cleaned out the tail to secure victory for Goring.

A superb spell by Siva Kumar (5-37) inspired Division Two table-toppers Waltham St Lawrence (151) to an 18-run victory at Warfield. Ashley Gander took 4-46 for the hosts.

Captain Sanjeev Jain scored 67 for Emmbrook & Bearwood 2nds (134), but they lost by seven wickets at home to Woodley 2nds (135-3). Balaji Panchepakesan claimed 5-10 for the visitors, with Upendra Deshpande making 55 in the run chase.

Tom Heighes (97) and Arthur Richer (57) were among the runs as Hawley (270-9) had the better of a draw at Stratfield Turgis (217-6). Craig Strudley bagged 6-65 for the home side, with Steve Clarke (87) and Dan Spence (83) leading the way as Turgis secured a share of the spoils.

Steve Beamish (5-35) and Robin Thompson (64no) did the damage for Twyford & Ruscombe (141-3) as they eased past Crowthorne & Crown Wood 2nds (139) by seven wickets.

Second-placed Shinfield earned a four-wicket win at home to Earley.

Ollie Johnson top scored with 64 in the visitors’ total of 156, Anuraag Shukla taking 4-41. Suneet Basra (54) then broke the back of the run chase, and despite a minor wobble, Shinfield reached their target with more than 20 overs to spare.

In Division Three, Kaseem Ali’s unbeaten 57 helped leaders West Reading 3rds (124-2) to a convincing eight-wicket victory at Knowl Hill (121).

Jatinder Virk (63) and Puneet Kapoor (53) batted well as Ruislip Victoria 2nds (228) dismantled Mortimer (78) by 150 runs. Ian Bliss took 4-20 for the home side, but they had no answer to Ali Iqram (5-7) in the reply.

Alan Olivier-Smith (61) starred for Purley on Thames 3rds (194-5) as they defeated Bradfield 2nds (193-6) by five wickets.

A super spell by Mick Chard (4-15) helped Peppard Stoke Row 3rds (170-9) overcome Welford Park 2nds (123) by 47 runs. Manu Chadha scored 58 for Welford, who looked in control at 103-2 before Chard and U14 Daniel Watts (3-17) took over.

Shinfield 2nds continue to lead the way in Division Four as they thumped West Reading 4ths by 119 runs.

Abdur Raheem (4-49) and Hassan Arif (4-15) bowled well for Wests as they knocked over the table-toppers for 209, but West Reading were the shot out for just 90 in reply.

Openers John Humphrey (79no) and Ram Devarakonda (51) gave Binfield 3rds (211-6) a good start, but they ended up losing by six wickets to Sulhamstead 3rds (215-4) as Babu Loganathan made 74.

Dan Chesterman grabbed fine figures of 4-8 as Sandhurst 2nds (73-2) romped to an eight-wicket win against Emmbrook & Bearwood 3rds (71) in the Bye Week Challenge.
