WOKINGHAM & District Schools Under 11s returned to winning ways and extended their impressive home form with a 2-1 success against Sutton.

Wokingham began on the front foot, pressing high, passing quickly and switching play effectively, while the they recycled the ball and carved openings through the channels.

Nathaniel Muza and Zackary Waight showed a great understanding in the opening stages, but it was Scott Morgan who put the home side in front after just five minutes.

Shortly after, the visitors crumbled under the high-intensity pressure as an attempted back pass evaded the onlooking goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Wokingham continued to create opportunities to increase their lead, only for the woodwork and some last ditch defending preventing them moving further ahead.

Wokingham lost concentration after the break and the visitors made it 2-1 when a scramble in the box was punted in after a dangerous corner.

However, Wokingham’s goalkeeper Max Hitchings stood tall to ensure his side ran out winners.
