AARON Tshibola is determined to set the record straight over his shock departure from Reading FC when he returns to Madejski Stadium with Aston Villa tonight (8pm ko).

Royals will be hoping to protect their unbeaten home record this season when they host struggling Villa.

Villa, who appointed Steve Bruce as manager last week, make the trip to Berkshire following a 1-1 draw with rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.

Jaap Stam's Royals return to home soil following a 1-1 away draw to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, courtesy of a superb Danny Williams volley.

And Royals Academy graduate Tshibola, who made the switch to Villa Park over the summer for around £5 million, will line up against his former club for the first time.

A host of Reading fans voiced their anger at Tshibola’s shock departure, and the 21-year-old midfielder says he expects a frosty reception from the home supporters.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Tshibola said: “There were certain things said about me leaving which weren’t true.

“People obviously have their opinions on things. What I can say is what was made out of it was not actually the full story.

“But what can you do? There are different sides to the story but you can’t do much about it now so it’s about looking to the future.”
