A RANELAGH School pupil has been crowned British Champion at the national finals in Nottingham.
Elliott Kemp and his partner Edoardo Marshall triumphed in the J16 double sculls, beating the pair from Calpe Rowing Club in Gibraltar by seven seconds in the final.
Teenager Kemp only took up the sport when he joined Maidenhead Rowing Club in 2014, but he has built up an impressive haul of medals in the past two years.
Among the trophies he has collected are two gold medals at the Ghent International Regatta in April this year, along with a silver medal at the St Petersburg Autumn Rowing marathon last October.
