LEE Jackson from North Oxford won the West Berks Kerridge Financial Pro-Am with a one-under-par 72.

Tom Fleming, Donnington Grove and James Foster, Newbury and Crookham, both carded 73 to share second place, while home club professional, Paul Simpson, was a further shot behind in fourth.

The winners of the team prize were brothers Kevin and Garry Dixon of West Berks and J.Mann, led by professional Sam Jarman of Jarman Golf. Runners-up were the West Berks team of Stuart Harrison , Sam Blyth, Matt Thomas and professional Tom Fleming.

Meanwhile, Jan Francis won the ladies’ senior championship with a gross 98, two shots clear of Renee Wheeler. Deb Weddell won the best net prize with 77.

West Berks seniors recorded a 5½ - 2½ away victory at Wrag Barn, while the ladies lost at home to Sandford Springs by 2½ - 1½.

Four-handicapper, Andrew Robbings shot a two-over-par 75 to win the men’s August medal with a net 71. Carl McCartney (72) took second while Malcolm Thwaites (71) was third.

Paul Beake won Division 2 with 69 on count-back from Sam Blyth, while Kevin Dixon’s 73 won Division 3.

Alan Stark won the midweek stableford with 39 points, while Daniel Bowsher’s 36 points secured the Saturday stableford from Terry Dixon.

Tim Francis won the seniors medal with net 69 on countback from Andrew Kerr.
