AN ill-disciplined batting display sucked Thatcham Town back into a relegation dogfight after a two-wicket loss to Thames Valley League Division 2b basement side Chiswick & Whitton.

Thatcham skipper Duncan Johnson won the toss only to see his side bowled out for 136 in the 33rd over.

Some impressive bowling from Williams (5-47) then left the hosts in trouble on 56-6, but a crucial knock of 48 from Naqvi helped Chiswick secure victory on 137-8 in the 45th over.
