THERE were mixed fortunes for Twyford in two Kennet League matches this week, starting with a 85-68 (10-4 on points) victory at Wargrave.
Barry Carter led the charge to record a 34-11 win along with Jim Turner, Mick Walker and Phil Rose, while the other winning rink was skipped by Nick Orde with Tony Turner, Jim Walter and Wayne Manley who led 15-0 after six ends and eventually came out on top 26-16.
However, Twyford lost 74-71 (12-2) against Reading University.
The Kennet LX League side suffered a disappointing 57-45 (8-2) home defeat against Great Hollands, while Twyford narrowly lost their annual Daws Cup match 107-106 to Wargrave.
