A ONE-man play charting the history of Reading FC is launching in July – in the first-team changing room.

The play called ‘The Final Whistle’ will be staged in Royals’ home dressing room at Madejski Stadium in front of a live audience.

It is the work of Reading Between The Lines Theatre Company’s Benedict Sandiford, who performs the entire play single-handedly.

Sandiford, who has appeared in numerous plays and television shows including Coronation Street and Midsomer Murders, will put on three performances each day between July 19-23.

The play has been commissioned and produced by South Street Arts Centre for Sitelines and Reading’s Year of Culture 2016.

Audience numbers are limited to only 20 per show.

Tickets cost £12 and £10 concessions. To book call 0118 960 6060 or visit www.readingarts.com
