SLOUGH Minis recorded two wins from six matches in a series of friendlies at Hillingdon Abbots on Sunday.

Making the step up from mini rugby into the junior game this season, the U13s played for the first time in positions and on a full-sized adult pitch.

Some more great rugby saw Stuart Goddard score twice before half-time.

Mason Simpson opened the scoring for the second-half before Cody Rumney ran in a brace to finish with a satisfying 35-0 win.

The U10s second game saw the teams at level pegging before Hillingdon drew ahead, and despite the young Greenies best efforts they were not able to establish a hold in the game, losing 20-5.

The U9s made a promising start with scores level at half-time before losing by one point.

Co-coach Colin White said it was a great day and an excellent experience for the team who are taking their first steps in contact rugby.

Slough U8s drew 7-7 while a combined U6&7 side lost.

Meanwhile, Slough's combined U15&16 team was invited to play at the Reading Youth Rugby Festival on Sunday, where they played three games and conceded no tries.

Up against Bracknell first, Slough spent most of the match in the opponents half before walking away with a 7-0 win. The try was scored by Joe Bondoy and converted by Harry Turner.

The second game saw the Greenies play Hungerford and a convincing performance saw then run out 14-0 winners after tries for Matteo Pascucci and Bondoy - both successfully converted by Turner.

The final game was against a Reading/Beaconsfield Barbarians team. Bondoy and Kieran Brewer ran in a brace apiece, duly converted by Turner and Dan Harris.
