The content of the comment you wish to complain about was:

"The prime issue at this election should be about Candidates capable of earning our respect. Surely Cllr Sutton does not deserve mine or the town's with his style of electioneering and morality which he demonstrated in the Council Chamber this week, aided and abetted by the Labour prospective candidate for Church Ward? I am not commenting on what Cllr Sutton was alleging, but it came across as and was a desperate act by a desperate party to cling on to power in the town. It was certainly an abuse of public question time which timed out some rather interesting and difficult questions for the Labour controlled council on financing and accounting. The people of Church Ward should be asking whether Ms Livingstone is the person that they should have represent them; gutter politics springs to mind. But, like all these stunts, it turns into an own goal because the town is not as stupid as Labour believe and it can be seen that the type of allegations put out by Cllr Sutton again should have been properly investigated at the time, if they were bone fide grievances. Is the cabinet whiter than white that they should cast the first stone? Perhaps a member of the public should ask the Cabinet, at their next meeting, to disclose if any have convictions for lewd behaviour? Policy is not the word that I would use to describe the machinations of the Labour Party in the town. They have in their period of office flip flopped their way through. We need only look at transport "policy" and the one-way IDR or now not. If they were so sure of their commitment to the town, then they could easily avoid the pathetic games they play - the policy and success it brings will speak for itself. The question that needs to be answered is who is determining Labour policy - there is much in the way of property development and congestion, but little in the way of solutions to the problems of the town's infrastructure and environment. Cllr Sutton claims that Reading has a future with Labour - if so, is it for the people? What I know is that the public will decide in a month's time. If the fight for power is as dirty and despicable as it has shown itself to be this week, then democracy is dead in the water and spin its alter ego. The only issue that we need to decide is who is capable of delivering our expectations from the candidates in our ward. It is not about a party, but about the willingness and capability of the candidate to work in the interest of the people living in the ward. Thanks to David Sutton and Ms Livingstone the people of Church Ward have been set a very difficult task to decide who should represent them. It is such a pity that Cllr Chris Goodall is retiring because in him the ward did not need to question his motivation; he deserved respect. "
