HARD working hospital secretaries have been recognised with a national award.
The group from Broadmoor Hospital in Crowthorne was crowned 2008 team of the year by the British Society Of Medical Secretaries and Administrators (BSMSA) at a ceremony in London.
Line manager Jacky Glover, who nominated the seven secretaries, said: "The team members are dedicated professionals who perform tirelessly and are often in the background. I felt the nomination would allow their efforts to be recognised by a wider audience and not just those of us who know how good they are.
"They are highly valued members of the clinical teams they work for and are a key factor in the support of the delivery of patient care. Team members work together to ensure cover is provided at all times and quite literally would do anything for anybody and if they can't they will find someone who can."
The BSMSA is the leading professional body for medical secretaries, PAs and clinical team members in the NHS, general and private practice and work to provide support and constant training to staff.
