Ethan Boroian
CHRISTMAS sparkle will be descending on Slough with the help of some talented reality stars.
American Ethan Boroian, who got to the final 24 in this year's X Factor and who was one of the final six boys in Cheryl Cole's team, will be taking to the stage at the town's Christmas light switch on.
He will be joined in the town square by dance troupe Nemesis, who impressed viewers with their slick routines on Britain's Got Talent.
Trevor Lambert, head of communications at Slough Borough Council, said: "I'm looking forward to seeing the stars perform on stage; they'll be joined by Father Christmas too. We can't wait to welcome shoppers, old and new to Slough's revitalised high street."
Simon Edwards, QueensmereObservatory manager, added: "This will be a great event for all and is free for anyone to attend. The evening's entertainment will be rounded off with a fireworks display."
The celebrations will begin at 3.30pm on Thursday, November 19, where there will also be a performance of Robin Hood from the West Wing and dancers from Slough's Creative Academy.
The event is organised by Slough Borough Council and the QueensmereObservatory Shopping Centre.
The lights will be switched on at 6pm.

Don't all rush at once to the switch-on. A final-24 X Factor contestant! Slough's never known such excitement.

Ah ya miserable so and so's. Like the council can afford to pay for the big guys, and thank God - I wouldn't want my council tax gping towards already well-off famous peoples. The Xmas lights are always a good crack and as long as it's entertaining, who cares - just look at those twins on X Factor at the mo - not the greatest, but for some reason people love em!

When people talk about wannabe's - surely that's what all stars are before they make it big? Even Justin Timberlake was a wannabe once.

Slough usually wastes all your taxpayers money on getting stars in. Peter Andre in 2005 cost £25,000 to switch on. FACT.And it was probably a similar cost for Shayne Ward and Lee Ryan from Blue in the following Christmasses. There's obviously not as much cash knocking about this year.

lol why waste tax payers money on getting Peter Andre or someone to switch on the lights, when all there going to do is sing a song and go. Having a singer, dance crew, and a pantomime is better + cheaper. Besides its free anyway so stop complaining. :)
