Mothercare in Slough has launched its 'everything must go' sale.

It was announced earlier last month that Mothercare would be closing 60 of its 137 stores to safeguard the future success of the brand - and the Slough store was one of those that will disappear.

But a spokesman for the company hopes its customers will take advantage of the reduced prices this week.

She said: “This is a great opportunity for our dedicated customers to pick up some amazing deals as everything is reduced. Demand will be high so don’t wait to grab a fantastic deal. We thank our customers in the local area for their continued support for the Mothercare brand and advise that we are open 24 hours/7 days a week online at mothercare.com.”

Mothercare has been the UK's number one retailer for prams, pushchairs, car seats, baby clothes, maternity clothes, nursery furniture, toys and gifts on the high street since 1961.

But changing fashions and the growth of online has affected the chain in the same way as they have so many others.

According to store management though, stock levels are high at Slough as it enters its final days of trading. So there is plenty of choice and customers are advised to take advantage of the heavy discounts as soon as possible, as some of the most popular ranges may sell out fast. Any product warranties or guarantees will remain valid.

Mothercare stores in Hayes and Reading will now be the nearest stores to Slough, although there will be access to the full array of maternity, nursery, baby and toddler ranges on the Mothercare website www.mothercare.com.
