FOUR girls have received football training from national football stars.
The pupils from Eden Girls' School, Slough, recently attended the FA's Girls' Football Youth Leadership Camp at St George's Park. Nazia Ibrahim, Kyra Chin-Thomas, Hussay Paywand, and Jeanan Paraside Almallah Al-lal represented their school by joining with other school pupils in a highly inspirational weekend of sport.
The girls were coached by members of the Lionesses, the England women's football team, who have experienced strong success on the international stage. In addition to honing their football skills, they also received an introduction to coaching skills, to allow them to experience the other opportunities football has to offer.
Ms Paywand said: "It was a really inspirational and enjoyable weekend for us. It was great to work with other people; we learnt so much whilst also having lots of fun."
Emma Seabridge, Deputy Director of Learning for PE at Eden Girls, said: "We are extremely proud of our girls who represented our school so well at the Girls’ Football Youth Leadership Camp. It was a wonderful experience for them, and has undoubtedly boosted aspirations by showing them what is possible with effort and commitment."
