TWO motorcyclists have assaulted an elderly man with a breeze block, leading to the victim requiring hospital treatment.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to the entrance of Lord Mayors Drive, Farnham Common, at around 6.15 am on June 10, after a 68-year-old man was injured by two people on a motorcycle.

As the victim walked near the Emperor pub, Blackpond Lane, he heard a motorcycle passing him, and felt something strike the back of his hand. The bike passed him slowly, and the passenger made an offensive gesture at him.

As he walked past he shops in Beaconsfield Road, the same bike approached him again, and the passenger made another offensive gesture. The victim threw gravel at the bike and shouted at the offenders.

The victim then returned to Lord Mayors Drive, where the two motorcyclists intercepted him and struck him over the head with broken breeze block. The attackers then got on the motorbike and rode away.

The victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for head injuries, and has since been discharged.

The rider of the motorcycle is described as male, approximately 6ft tall and wearing a distinctive red and white helmet, blue jeans, a black jacket and red gloves.

The pillion passenger is believed to be female, approximately 6ft tall, and was wearing a blue and white helmet, lighter blue jeans, a black jacket, blue and white trainers and red gloves. They were riding a black Yamaha motorcycle.

The investigating officer, Detective Constable Nicholas Widdison, said: "This was an intimidating incident for the victim.

"The two people on the bike were aggressive and the victim was ultimately assaulted with a brick resulting in hospital treatment.

"I would appeal for anyone with information about the incident which could assist the investigation to contact police."
