A FORUM for adults with learning disabilities in the borough has been celebrating its third anniversary.
Members of Speak Out met for cake as they marked their time together in September.
The forum provides opportunities for people to meet, discuss issues that affect their daily lives and identify opportunities for learning new skills.
Over the past three years, the forum has championed a Support Worker Agreement which has been signed up to by all supported living providers in Slough. Members have also met with the chair of the Safeguarding Adults Board to put forward their views on safeguarding.
Councillor Sabia Hussain said: βItβs been a fantastic and successful three years and I wish Speak Out a very happy anniversary and wish them many more in the years to follow.β
The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month between 1pm and 3pm in the community room at Tesco Extra, Wellington Road, Slough.
