HARD working carers in the community were treated to a special lunch as part of Carers Week.
The unpaid carers, who support their loved ones at home, attended the Big Lunch event last Thursday which was hosted by Slough based care provider, seakr.
The private company, based at The Junction, has its own team of paid carers but staged the event specifically for the unsung heroes who often do not get any time to treat themselves.
It appealed for carers to come forward and paid for them to enjoy a five-course Indian banquet at Windsor’s Mango Lounge. They were also given a health and wellbeing session.
