Moped riders in Slough are being warned by Thames Valley Police to behave sensibly, following a rise in reports of them being ridden in an anti-social manner.

Youths have been reported to be riding dangerously along paths, public parks, through alleyways and down canal towpaths.

Neighbourhood officer Police Constable Timothy Crossman from Slough Police Station said: "Riding in an anti-social manner is extremely dangerous and could lead to serious injury. In many cases the riders are riding at excessive speeds with little or no regard for their own safety or that of members of the public."

TVP said that over a six day period, from June 12 to 18, there were nine reports of motorbikes and mopeds being ridden dangerously in public areas.

They are appealing for anyone who may have information about those who could be responsible to contact them via 101 quoting 'URN 1162 18/6'.
