Three people have been arrested in connection with a series of taxi driver robberies that have allegedly taken place over the last 17 months.

Two men and a woman were arrested on June 8 and 9 on suspicion of robbery, Thames Valley Police said.

The woman, 34, and two men, 37 and 34, were released under investigation as officers continue to make enquiries.

All three are from Slough.

The arrests are in connection with a series of five robberies of taxi drivers which took place in Langley on November 14, 2015, November 22, 2015, December 4, 2016, April 17, 2017 and May 28, 2017.

The Observer had reported that in the May 28 incident a taxi driver had picked up a couple at the Thames Street rank in Windsor in the early hours, where he was asked to drive to Langley. After stopping at the Chestnuts pub in St Mary's Road and asking for his fare, he was then shouted at by the man who threatened him with a knife before the woman jumped onto the front seat and took his money bag.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101.
