AN ambulance driver has apologised after his vehicle was photographed parked across a bay during a meal break.
The South Central Ambulance crew's vehicle was snapped after they had pulled into the Subway in Buckingham Avenue, Slough on April 17.
Leah Bayliss, 22, took the photos and told this newspaper: "When you're not in an emergency you (should) park up normally in acceptable places just like everyone else."
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said the driver had parked at a 'slight angle' so he could leave the car park quicker if he happened to receive an emergency call. He said the car park was also fairly empty at the time.
The spokesperson added: "Having spoken to the crew and showing them the pictures the driver was very apologetic and understands how his parking may be viewed by the public especially when not on an emergency call.
"The driver did not intentionally park to obstruct the pavement and has advised he will be much more diligent in future with how he parks and how it can affect others.”
